Covering the nation’s largest and elegant campus and encompassing the most diversified ecological environment, College of Agriculture, NPUST has been known as one of the nation’s best site for cultivating high agro-tech talents. With National Agri- and Bio-Tech Park newly established in the vicinity, with which the College of Agriculture, NPUST is now actively engaging in coordination to promote industry and academia collaboration. We are expecting to see ourselves established as one of the most crucial position in the research of agriculture in the foreseeable future.


Departments, schools and programs

College of Agriculture, NPUST comprises two graduate institutions, namely, Graduate Institute of Bioresources (doctoral program), Graduate Institute of Wildlife Conservation (master program); and ten departments, which are: Department of Biological Science and Technology (undergraduate and master programs), Department of Forestry (undergraduate and master programs), Department of Wood Science and Design (undergraduate and master programs), Department of Plant Industry (undergraduate, master and doctoral programs), Department of Plant Medicine (undergraduate and master programs), Department of Animal Science (undergraduate and master programs), Department of Aquaculture (undergraduate, master and doctoral programs), Department of Food Science (undergraduate, master and doctoral programs). Furthermore, to meet the demand for expertise from the industry sector, this college has established several additional cross-discipline programs: 10 agricultural programs, 6 industrial management programs and 6 quality management programs, including organic agriculture, landscape, aquaculture, ecology tourism, pulp and papermaking, working dog training, experimental animals, biotechnology, active natural products, fermentation engineering.


Center for Regional Industry Academia Collaboration 

To enhance academic research and to facilitate collaboration between industry and academia, this school has established the following centers: Biological Diversity Research Center, Wood Processing Technology Service Center, Food Science and Technology Service Center, Green Service Center of Landscape, Agriculture and Aquaculture Product Service Center of Inspection and Certification,Aquaculture Technology Service Center, Wildlife Conservation Service Center, Innovation and Practical Training Center, etc.

In a view to further develop tropical agro-technology and organic agriculture, this college, equipped with advanced and sophisticated research and teaching facilities. And has established Asian Pacific Research Center for Tropical Agriculture, Active Natural Products Development Center, Tropical Biotechnology Center, Tropical plants Medical Center, etc.


Faculty and students

Currently, there are 112 members of full-time faculty, among them, 37 professors, 35 associate professors, 32 assistant professors, 8 lecturers. To strengthen international interaction, several academicians are also invited to join in as visiting professors. There are now 2429 undergraduates , 468 graduate students and 66 are in doctoral program.
